Amendments to the Test and Trace Discretionary Policy
Decision type: Key
Reason Key: Affects more than 1 ward;
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Notice of proposed decision first published: 09/03/2021
This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.
Reason for urgency:
The Leicestershire Revenues and Benefits Partnership requested a change following the publication of the Executive Decsion Notice on 1 March 2021. Legal advice has been given that Cabinet approval would be required as the orginal decsion did not delgate authority to revise the scheme to officers.
Both other local autority partners have made the decision at officer level. The changes will increase the number of eligible claims and delays will prevent justifiably entitled claimants not receiving payment for self-isolation.
