Grass-cutting on council properties | Due to wet conditions of the grass, we may not be able to cut all of the grass areas of our council properties at this current time; this includes our parks, open spaces and play areas. Our team are surveying the sites and as soon as the areas are dry enough, our team will be grass-cutting as usual. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.

Reason for urgency:
To approve an amendment to the 2018/19 approved budget for the prompt replacement of the door entry and fire alarm systems to the Council Office building.

Following a power cut to the building on 27 November 2018 issues were identified with the door entry system which required us to reassess the proposed timetable for installation of the systems, and bring the date forward to be as soon as possible. The issue related to the default “locked” position of the doors, which could prevent effective checking of the building during an evacuation in the event of another power failure.
