Procurement Update on Telephony Project

Minutes:
The Housing and Customer Services Portfolio Holder presented the report to Members.
He highlighted the background of the report to Members and updated them on the current position.
It was moved by Councillor R D Bayliss, seconded by Councillor N J Rushton and
RESOLVED THAT
- Authority be delegated to the Strategic Director of Housing and Customer Services in consultation with the Corporate Portfolio Holder to procure and award a replacement telephony and contact centre platform over 5 years, with authority to extend for a further 2 years;
- The allocation of funds, as detailed in the report from the General Fund unallocated reserves, to fund the additional capital amount and year 1 revenue costs of the contract, as detailed in the report, be approved.
Reason for decision: To revise the delegation level to enable the procurement of a replacement telephony and contact centre platform over a contract term of up to 7 years.
