Decision:

The purpose of the decision is to grant approval for the transfer of Accountable Body Status of the East Midlands Freeport (EMF) from Leicestershire County Council to EMCCA and for EMCCA with effect from 1 April 2026.

Reasons for the decision:

TO ENABLE THE TRANSFER OF ACCOUNTABLE BODY STATUS FOR THE EAST MIDLANDS FREEPORT (EMF) FROM LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (LCC) TO THE EAST MIDLANDS COMBINED COUNTY AUTHORITY (EMCCA)
TO ENABLE EMCCA TO BECOME A FOUNDER MEMBER OF THE EAST MIDLANDS FREEPORT.

None - the process to make changes to the Freeport are set out in the Members' Agreement which is binding on member authorities.
