Decision details
Blackfordby designation of a neighbourhood area
Decision Maker: Strategic Director of Place
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Decision:
To agree to the requests from Ashby de la
Zouch Town Council to designate a neighbourhood plan area for
Blackfordby under Part 2 of the Neighbourhood Planning
(General) Regulations 2012.
To delegate authority to the Planning Policy Team
Manager to claim funding from Government and that such funding be
ring fenced for the purpose of the Council supporting the
preparation of neighbourhood plans and to manage, in co-operation
with the Community Focus Team Leader, the Council's involvement in
the
neighbourhood plans process.
Reasons for the decision:
To comply with the requirements of the
Localism Act that the Council consider requests to designate
neighbourhood areas
Alternative options considered:
Whether to agree the request. The application
was subject to a period of consultation which attracted one
response which did not, in itself, raise objection to the proposed
designation. It was concluded, therefore, that it was appropriate
to agree to the request to designate
