Grass-cutting on council properties | Due to wet conditions of the grass, we may not be able to cut all of the grass areas of our council properties at this current time; this includes our parks, open spaces and play areas. Our team are surveying the sites and as soon as the areas are dry enough, our team will be grass-cutting as usual. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Decision:

Following a competitive procurement, the Director of Housing has decided to enter into a demolition contract for the former Greenacres Sheltered Housing Scheme, Linford Crescent, Coalville.

Reasons for the decision:

To allow the redevelopment of the current site for new homes, so furthering the Council policy objective of expanding its stock of council housing.

Alternative options considered:

Alternative demolition providers were considered as part of the procurement process. There is no in-house capability to undertake this work.
