Cabinet approval to exempt the procurement of
Groundworks service from the Council’s Contract Procedure
Rules and to award a contract to Groundwork Five Counties. This
report also seeks delegated authority for the Strategic Director
responsible for Housing, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder,
to finalise and enter into all associated contractual
documentation.
Reasons for the decision:
Cabinet approval was required because the
total potential value of the contract exceeds £100,000 and
because a procurement exemption was necessary owing to the lack of
competition. Authority was delegated to Strategic Director
responsible for Housing, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder,
to finalise and enter into all associated contractual
documentation.
