Delegated authority to the portfolio holder to
award the contract to the successful bidder for the 17 waste and
recycling vehicles.
Previously agreed at cabinet in April 2025
Reasons for the decision:
The project requires 17 waste and recycling
collection vehicles to implement the new waste collection. Due
diligence was completed through TPPL procurement framework and the
evaluation of the responses was presented to the portfolio holder,
director of resources and head of community services.
Alternative options considered:
3 different bidders submitted responses to the
tender, these were considered for their cost, lead time, aftersales
care, quality and how well they met the needs of the councils
requirements.
The criteria were weighted to give a fair and honest assessment of
the best fit option
