Grass-cutting on council properties | Due to wet conditions of the grass, we may not be able to cut all of the grass areas of our council properties at this current time; this includes our parks, open spaces and play areas. Our team are surveying the sites and as soon as the areas are dry enough, our team will be grass-cutting as usual. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Amendments to the existing National Restrictions Discretionary Support Grant to extend payments into April and May based on the business' industry.

Reasons for the decision:

To continue to provide support to businesses affected by national restrictions

Alternative options considered:

We considered whether it would be feasible to offer parity with the new Restart Grants offered to ratepaying businesses in certain sectors. Our estimate is this would cost £1.8m, which is more than the funding available and would prevent us from providing higher levels of support to other businesses.
