Decision:
Following a competitive procurement and having
the appropriate authority, the Strategic Director of Housing and
Customer Services has decided to enter into a contract for the
provision of heating servicing and maintenance services to Council
housing stock.
Reasons for the decision:
To combine 3-star service delivery standards
for solid fuel, gas and air source heat pump heating installations
under one contract. To provide a 'one-stop shop' for all Council
tenants' heating requirements and requests.
Alternative options considered:
Alternative providers were considered as part
of the procurement process. There is no in-house resource with
capacity to undertake this work.
