Entering into an option agreement and
subsequent minor variation of that agreement to sell car park to a
third party investor to facilitate the regeneration of land in
Coalville town centre.
Reasons for the decision:
In order to promote the regeneration of
Coalville Town Centre.
Alternative options considered:
Not entering into the option and thereby not
supporting the regeneration.
Investing in land in the town centre ourselves rather than working
with a private investor. This option was prohibitively
expensive.
