Decision:
In October 2017 CLT gave approval to begin the
procurement process to appoint contractors to deliver free to
access Wi-Fi in both Coalville and Ashby Town Centre. Following the
procurement process Officers have opted to appoint InTechnology
WiFi.
Reasons for the decision:
Following a procurement exercise InTechnology
have been chosen as the preferred supplier. Their tender response
and presentations highlighted their capability and competence at
delivering WiFi solutions in towns and cities across the United
Kingdom. Their proposals also demonstrated value for money and
provided greater coverage within both market towns compared to
rival tender submissions.
Alternative options considered:
Business Focus, working with the Procurement
and Commissioning Officer to lead a comprehensive procurement
exercise. An open tender process sought solutions for providing
free to access WiFi. A number of tender submission were received
who were evaluated against a marking methodology.
