Decision:
On 1st November 2017 new regulations were laid
before Parliament relating to Fixed Penalty Notices for
Environmental Offences such as littering, graffiti, fly posting and
the unauthorised distribution of free literature.
The legislation stipulates a minimum and maximum fine for each
offence and it is a decision for each Authority to set their own
fine levels within these figures.
Reasons for the decision:
To implement the new level of fines.

Bench marking with other local authorities to
ensure consistency across the County.
