Grass-cutting on council properties | Due to wet conditions of the grass, we may not be able to cut all of the grass areas of our council properties at this current time; this includes our parks, open spaces and play areas. Our team are surveying the sites and as soon as the areas are dry enough, our team will be grass-cutting as usual. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Decision:

The legislation has been amended to introduce a fixed penalty for householders duty of care. This means households can now be held responsible for waste that is not correctly disposed. Householders have to ensure that the people collecting their waste are authorised to take it.

Decision:

New legislation was implemented in 2018 which allows local authorities to issue a fixed penalty notice (FPN) for littering from vehicles on the registered keeper of the vehicle. The FPN is £150 with an early repayment of £90. However, if the FPN is not paid within 28 days the amount doubles to £300.
