Minutes:

The Chairman advised that items A1 and A2 would be considered together but would be voted on separately.

The Senior Planning Officer presented the reports to members.

It was noted that the Conservation officer’s concerns were around the internal works, but the works proposed in the application would be character appropriate and protect the significance of the heritage asset.

The Chairman read out a brief statement from the ward member, Councillor J Hoult, which supported both of the applications.

In determining the application members fully endorsed the comments of the Ward Member, as the scheme before them would restore the building to its former glory and enhance the street scene. Officers were asked to send a note to LCC Highways requesting them to look at the installation of a pedestrian crossing in the area at the bottom of Kilwardby Street.
