Decision details
Not to allow further Kerb Sets in Old Consecrated Section at Hugglescote Cemetery
Decision Maker: Strategic Director of Place
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Decision:
An application was approved in error for a
kerb set to be erected in an area (old consecrated section) that is
not allowed. Kerb sets are not allowed in this part of the cemetery
due to the safe system of work used to carry out the maintenance in
this area.
Reasons for the decision:
Due to the sensitivity of the subject and the
distress it would cause the family if we asked for it to be
removed, the decision is to allow this one to remain but not to set
a precedent for others to be allowed in the future to ensure we can
continue the safe working practise of carrying out the grounds
maintenance.
