Local Plan Review
Decision type: Key
Reason Key: Expenditure >£100,000 and affects more than 1 ward;
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Notice of proposed decision first published: 28/06/2019
This decision will be taken under urgency procedures.
Reason for urgency:
The Council’s process requires that Cabinet make an initial in principle decision. It will then go to the Local Plan Committee. By going in July a report can then go to the Local Plan Committee on 18 September 2019. If it did not go to Cabinet in July the next available Cabinet is not until 24 September which is after the Local Plan Committee. This would mean delaying a report to Local Plan Committee until November. It is important that what is being proposed is subject to a 6-week consultation and then submitted for Examination by the end of February 2020 in order to accord with the adopted Local Plan. Delaying a decision to November would not achieve this.
